❤❤❤
Beautiful.
When i was s child i always said this the angels instrument 😊
I’m a beginner and I thank you! ❤
Far to slow.
Quite!
Que maravilla!!!
Beautiful!❤
This is nice!!! It sounds familiar, I think I learned to play this on the flute. It sounds lovely on the harp, though!!
The better teacher. Thank you for helping us. God bless you
Hi, I love your transcription! Could you let me know if there’s a way to purchase this sheet music?
A word about the historic instrument she is playing on: It is one of the original Salzedo models, that belonged to Florence Wightman, who was called by Lucile Lawrence as "the best one of us." Florence spent many years playing her own solo recital programs on the radio, and in opera orchestras in New York, Chicago, Montreal and Bogota.
Weren't the Salzado models by Lyon Healy?
This is perfect! im going to start asap. also do you have any recommendations for an affordable harp? i have a lab harp 22 string but i want to upgrade to a harpsickle with levers or a regular full size but theyre all really expensive. if not no worries thank so much. you got my sub.
I'm so glad you like the video, and thanks for the sub.😀 The general rule for harps is to buy as many strings as you can afford. The more strings - the more music you can play. Also, levers are important to have!
@@HarpMastery what do you think of the tulip 40, ive been thinking of buying it since its affordable

So rewarding! very good for my almost 71 year old brain. I need to not move my hands. Very stimulating, satisfying, and actually rather meditative! I would certainly love to join your full program, but being a pensioner on a tiny budget this is the option open for me. I'm very grateful that you make this available. Thank you Anne
I'm so glad you find these warm-ups helpful, Susanne!
Really appreciate this Anne! I can tell I desperately need exactly this I managed the C F and G with inversions just fine but the others just messed with my entire comprehension. Again your hints, such as putting 4 down to check hands, are invaluable. Greatly appreciated. I'll keep working on these.
Thank you. This was incredibly helpful! I'm returning to harp after an almost 5 year break (burnt out because I tried to go way beyond my then skill level). Anyhow, I've been playing for three months (I began 11 years ago and had two excellent teachers for my foundation) and revisiting all the good basic stuff (Paret and Schlomovitz and, and, and...) and learning things which that over-reach taught me to be aware of and now I have the brain space and time to allow it all to reestablish, develop and take root. This was a very soothing, yet loaded with practical whys and wherefores practice.
You are so welcome, Susanne. I'm excited for your return to the harp - keep me posted!
@@HarpMastery thank you Anne, I will.
Thanks, Anne. Looking forward to it! 💖🙂👒🫖
Outstanding tip you shared here - thanks, Anne. When I got permission from your podcast a few weeks ago to do my “first sight” playthroughs for a *whole week* before digging in and practising, it made a big difference for me. I still worry a bit about imprinting bad habits - maybe you can chat about that briefly in the Intensive? (It doesn’t seem to be the case, so I guess I should just let that notion go.) See you there! 🌱 ~ Rebecca
I am signed up. I really need this and am looking forward to it!
I'm so glad! I will look forward to seeing you on the calls!
I never knew how trills worked. I thought they were done with one hand and couldn't figure out how to gain the speed with one hand.
Sometimes trills are done with one hand, Cheryl. As you guessed, they're a lot harder!
Brain twister
Indeed!
Hope to do this intensive some time. The week of the intensive I am watching my grandchildren while my son & daughter -in-law take a trip.
I haven't ever re-run one of these Intensives, Connie, so this is your best chance to get this material. Even if you can't participate live, you will still have access to all the materials through March 31st an everything is downloadable, so you can save it to your computer and watch it whenever you want. Have fun with those grandkids!
@@HarpMastery thank you
Looking forward to this intensive!
Thank you for your videos!! You have helped me in learning to play my pieces and, most importantly, with my performances.
You're very welcome, Charlene!
All good
Hey Anne! This is Cody. Great video!
Thanks, Cody!
Your students must really appreciate your teaching Ann. You're looking lovely! I came across a video of you playing harp at The Green Drake at Christmas time. In ?2016 Very nice memory, thank you! Merry
Thank you so much, Merry! I hope you are doing well!
Your students must really appreciate your. teaching skill. Looking lovely Ann!
I’m in; I look forward to it! 😊
How pleasant a teacher you are.
Congrats Connie!
Gorgeous!!! ❤
Beautiful. God bless you
Gorgeous
super helpful thank you!
Hi from Anglesey Wales yes I got in to it ❤😉🤘
I would like to have a go sounds lovely 😊
The memory in the hands and the soul in the mind💕
Love it; thank you Anne!
Right?! Love arpeggios!
Agh! lol 😆
Followed somewhat with one hand
This is gorgeous sounding!
Would love that written out to be able to learn it…7th and all inversions and one after another…? This whole progression?
Eventually this and the other warmups will show up in print form, but for now, we are taking advantage of the extra learning that comes from listening and thinking about the patterns rather than reading them. It's not as simple, certainly, but it's valuable. And with the replay , you can slow it down and watch it as much as you need to get the pattern down.
Thank you, yes I can feel the benefit of that!
@@HarpMasteryand I think I got the concept too 😅. Thank you thank you so much!
Watching replay
Fantastic - do you recommend a particular version of this for the harp or will any piano scored version work?
Any piano version will work, Graham, although it can be nice to have the pedal markings for harp as there are some enharmonics that make the pedaling simpler. There are some nice lever harp versions too.
@@HarpMastery great stuff - any particular pedal harp ones recommended? Cheers! G

Love the harp can be very relaxing Tony Manchester UK 🤩🥰
My brother loves this song so much Anne Sullivan as he knows that he is on borrowed time and knows he's going to die . He loves your music.
I'm so sorry to hear about your brother, Neil. I am honored that my music can help ease his journey. Peace to you both.
